Description
Watermark forged, folded iron tsuba with a design of crowns and tassels. Although unsigned, it is presumed to be a work from the Mito region. Two nearly identical examples have been confirmed by Japanese dealers, signed Mito-ju Setsunao saku and Mito-ju Setsua saku respectively. There are slight rust spots in places.
