Fascinating Fun Facts: • Schäfer & Vater operated in Volkstedt-Rudolstadt, Germany, from 1890 to 1962, producing small bisque and jasperware novelty pieces • The impressed mold number on the back (2723) was used internally to catalog individual designs across their large output • Though called “jasperware,” this piece is bisque porcelain — many German factories used the term to describe their Wedgwood-style colored ground with white relief, even though true jasper is a stoneware, not porcelain Diameter: 5.5 in Weight: 7 oz
