Description
Purchased on the left bank in Paris in 1972, this brass-plated and leather belt was inspired by horse buckles and harnesses, a style popular at the time. It has 5 plaques, engraved CVB 18, connected by studded brown leather and a large brass buckle. I've always called it my ca va bien (things are good) belt and 18 is a lucky number, too. It can be worn below the waist or as a hip rider. Overall measurement is 39 (1 metre) with buckle holes at 34-1/2, 35-3/4 and 37 inches. The brass makes this a heavy belt that weights 1-3/4 pounds.
