Vintage Framed Topographical Art Print Titled "View of Newmarket."

This stunning piece of topographical art depicts a classic 19th-century pastoral landscape overlooking the historic town of Newmarket in Suffolk, England—the world-famous global hub of thoroughbred horse racing and breeding. I purchased this from a gallery there myself in the early 90’s. Origin: Originally published in London as a wood engraving plate in November 1845. Artist anonymous. Purchase History: Purchased in the early 1990s directly in Newmarket, England, from a local independent gallery and picture framer. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Beautifully preserved under glass. Very top left of glass there is a small flea bite which has not gone through to the matting. Priced accordingly. See photo.
