Vintage Japanese pewter tea caddy canister (chakan) featuring an etched floral botanical motif on a dark patinated finish, inscribed with 玉露 (Gyokuro / fine green tea). Features traditional double-lid construction with an inner metal stopper plug with brass finial and outer slip cap to keep contents airtight. Stamped maker mark on the underside. Measures approximately 5.5 inches tall. Good vintage condition with authentic patina, minor surface wear, and light residual paper on the bottom consistent with age and use. Perfect for tea ceremony storage, Asian art collectors, or rustic mantle decor.
