This is a fantastic piece of American industrial history: a genuine Vintage Chicago Lock Co. Industrial Padlock complete with its original factory-cut pin-tumbler key Code 1008. Unlike  many vintage locks found in the wild, this pair is fully functional and perfectly matched! The lock body opens and closes smoothly with the  included key. Lock body stamped with the classic Chicago Lock Co. logo. The heavy-duty steel shackle is clearly stamped HARDENED. The original flat-bladed bow key features the crisp code stamping 1008 alongside the manufacturer's name. This set features a beautiful authentic vintage patina with surface oxidation and minor weathering consistent with its age and industrial use. No structural damage or deep pitting. The lock mechanism has been tested and operates exactly as it should. It has purposely been left uncleaned to preserve its historical character for collectors, but it could easily be shined up if desired.
