Features:
This Nambu cast iron bread pan allows you to bake bread on a gas stove or other heat sources without using an oven. The central ring-shaped cavity is said to distribute heat evenly, resulting in fluffy baked bread.
Historical Background:
The product is inspired by an episode where a woman named Tami-san baked bread for her children using a duralumin bread pan shortly after the end of World War II. Oigen Foundry has recreated this in Nambu cast iron.
Compatible Heat Sources:
In addition to gas stoves, it can also be used on IH cooktops and in ovens (IH is compatible with 100V only).
Precautions Before Use:
New pans do not have an oil coating on the surface, so seasoning the pan before use will make it less prone to burning.
