Kyoto Ware Oribe Style Extra Large Flower Vase for Ikebana, Approx. 45cm, Over 6kg, With Handles
40.70 $
Description
A circular water basin with two handles, made of ceramic with a wavy pattern, characteristic of Kyo-yaki.
A beautiful water basin (45cm) with a rough texture like Bizen-yaki, finished with ochre and green glazes.
A water basin for ikebana in a tea room.
Water basin with ear-like handles.
This item has been used indoors.
The fine green waves resonate with the green of the flowers, and the nail marks create a wabi-sabi aesthetic, making this a superb Kyo-yaki water basin.
Belonged to a relative who likes ceramics such as Kyo-yaki, Shigaraki-yaki, and Bizen-yaki.
It has glaze, so I don't think it's Bizen-yaki, but it might be Shigaraki-yaki or something else.
I believe it is Kyo-yaki, but please investigate if you are concerned.
