Voltron: Defender of the Universe Sony Video 8 Tapes Castle of Lions Planet Doom

This is a remarkable find for high-end collectors and fans of 80s animation: a dual lot of original Voltron: Defender of the Universe episodes released on the rare Sony Video 8 format. This set includes two pivotal volumes from the series: Castle of Lions and Planet Doom. Both tapes are in new sealed condition, preserved in their original factory shrink-wrap. The packaging remains crisp with vibrant colors, showcasing the iconic Lion Force artwork that defined an era of Saturday morning cartoons. As a rare alternative to the standard VHS releases of 1984–1985, these Video 8 cartridges represent a unique piece of media history, specifically produced during Sony's push for the 8mm video format. Finding these in their original new sealed state is exceptionally difficult, as most were opened and played or lost to time. Offers welcome! Please review all photos.
