Beautiful antique hand-pieced string quilt dating to approximately 1939–1943, featuring colorful Depression-era cotton scraps, feed sack fabrics, shirtings, florals, and plaids. Hand quilted with an original pieced backing incorporating identifiable Model Mills flour sack and Cudahy Packing sack fabric with visible USDA inspection markings reading This Bag Made From Southern Cotton. Measures approximately 79 x 63, making it suitable for a full-size bed, wall display, or textile collection. This authentic American utility quilt shows significant age and honest wear with numerous holes, frayed areas, exposed cotton batting, staining, and edge wear consistent with decades of family use. A wonderful example of Depression/WWII-era folk art, primitive Americana, and sustainable textile history. This is a preowned antique textile.
