Vintage 70s 80s Ellesse White Tennis Shorts GOAT Terry Size 34 NWT Dead Stock
Ellesse
These Vintage 1970s 1980s Ellesse Terry Pocket Stripe Tennis Shorts offer fabulous GOAT tennis style! Cut to sit mid-thigh, hitting the spot with the classic striped elasticated waistband, these shorts are all about the details, with the pocket showing off red and navy blue detailing and red terry towelling panels at the openings. Italian tailor, Leonard Servadio founded clothing brand, Ellesse, in 1959. Ellesse became the high-end sports brand of the 1980s, making its most prominent appearances with high profile names and sponsoring major tournaments i.e. FIFA World Cup 1982 (Spain), 1986( Mexico) & 1990 (Italia). Tennis became the brand's metaphorical stomping ground. Little-known Boris Becker became the youngest ever Wimbledon champion at the tender age of 17 in 1985. The then-young German was pictured celebrating while wearing a plain white polo shirt with the Ellesse logo... The magic of Servadio's design was the effortless poise Ellesse represented during its heyday. These tennis shorts are kitted out with a striped elastic waist, snap button closure, velcro fastening, a zip fly and a signature Ellesse logo that rounds off the piece. I believe these are 100% Polyester Size 34.
