Paden City Pottery Yellow Square Plates - Mid-Century American China - Set of 3

This beautiful set of three vintage square plates was crafted by the Paden City Pottery Company in West Virginia, circa 1945–1955. Known for their elegant Eggshell style, these plates feature a classic mid-century aesthetic that blends sophisticated gold detailing with a charming, cottage-inspired floral center. Distinctive square Georgian style with gently rounded corners and a slightly scalloped rim. A soft pastel yellow/beige wide rim, heavily accented with an intricate 22kt gold filigree scroll pattern.  A vibrant, multi-colored floral bouquet featuring roses and mixed wildflowers, framed by a delicate gold-chain inner border.  The underside is marked with The Paden City Pottery Co. Made in USA (some pieces include the date code, such as J-54).  These plates are in Good Vintage Condition and display beautifully. The front-facing glaze is bright, the gold filigree remains crisp, and there is no significant fading to the central floral decals. Important Note: There are small chips on the underside/base rim of the plates. These are not visible from the front when the plates are laid flat or displayed.  Consistent with age, there may be some light surface utensil marks and minor crazing (fine lines in the glaze) typical of mid-century semi-porcelain. They measure 7 in diameter by a half inch high.
